COVID-19 update

We’re committed to ensuring the health, safety and wellbeing of our residents, their families, our people, and our wider network. Here’s what we’re doing to help fight COVID-19 together.

The latest news

After careful consideration and ongoing assessment of the current situation, we have made the decision to lift all COVID-19 restrictions within our facilities, effective 15 February 2024 at 0700 hrs. This means that all previous measures such as visitor limitations and mask mandates will no longer be in place.

We hope that this news comes as a relief to many of you who have been eagerly awaiting the opportunity to visit your loved ones more freely. At Amaroo, we are pleased to be able to facilitate these reunions and allow for more meaningful interactions between residents and their families.

While we are lifting these restrictions, we want to reassure you that the safety and wellbeing of your loved ones remains our top priority. We will continue to uphold stringent hygiene practices and sanitation protocols to ensure a clean and safe environment for everyone.

Please be advised that RAT testing and face masks mandates may be re-introduced in the future if the number of the COVID cases increases in the community.
