At Amaroo, we also charge a care fee that goes towards the cost of your personal and clinical care.

Not everyone is required to pay this fee—it’s based on your income level and assets. The exact amount is determined by the Centrelink Income and Assets Assessment. It’s assessed quarterly and can change depending on your circumstances.

There are annual and lifetime caps that apply to this care fee, which means that once you reach a certain threshold, you can’t be asked to pay anything more. This threshold is set by the Government and is reviewed regularly.
