Fiona Kalaf joins the Amaroo Board

At Amaroo, we are fortunate to be governed by a Board of Directors that helps drive our strategic growth. In light of the recent departure of Tony Italiano after 22 years of service, nine of which as Board Chair from 2014 to 2023, we are pleased to announce that Fiona Kalaf has been appointed as our new Board Chair.

Fiona is an experienced Chair and non-executive director, CEO, and senior executive across a range of sectors. Currently, Fiona is a non-executive director of Euroz Hartleys, Perth Festival and Celebrate WA, a General Councillor of HBF and General Manager Projects at APM.

“I am both thrilled and humbled to be joining Amaroo. The Board and management teams are committed, professional and values-driven, and all working towards the common goals of Amaroo and its communities.”

Chief Executive Officer of Amaroo, Lisa Brennan states that Fiona is a welcomed addition to our accomplished Board.

“Fiona brings with her a wealth of knowledge in the allied health sector, but most importantly is an experienced leader who has led many high performing teams. We have many ambitious goals for the next three years at Amaroo, and I know that Fiona will do an exceptional job helping us reach them.”

Commenting on what she hopes to achieve at Amaroo, Fiona said “Working alongside the Board and the management team, I am aiming to deliver on our strategic plan across the coming years. The strategic plan is well-considered, realistic, and ambitious in its scope, and it will be exciting to see the initiatives take shape.”

Fiona was officially appointed Board Chair on 1 November 2023.
