People & Culture Generalist

About the role

  • Support with Industrial Relations negotiations and communications and liaise with Unions and Amaroo Executives to support the General Manager with facilitation of EBA updates.
  • Be a consistent contact point for People and Culture (P&C) related enquiries.
  • Support People & Culture team with P&C policy reviews, systems, processes, and activities.
  • Provide timely, accurate and professional advice to employees and management in the application of P&C Policies and Procedures.
  • Manage effective employee relations processes, investigations, and grievances, providing accurate legislative guidance and support in a timely manner.
  • Provide support to stakeholders in the implementation of recruitment processes.
  • Assist and report on Workers Compensation incidents, Incident and injury management.

To be successful in this role, you will need:


  • Prior experience working in HR as a generalist for a minimum of 3 years.
  • Tertiary qualification in HR/IR/ER or law.
  • Proven analytical and research skills with a strong desire to keep up to date with the latest legislation.
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with the capacity to work independently and with experience in managing competing priorities, professionally and within required deadlines.
  • Experience in handling sensitive and confidential information.
  • Eligibility to work in Australia.
  • Demonstrated computer literacy in a range of applications including Microsoft Office.
  • Demonstrated ability to be well organised, flexible and work independently and as part of a team.
  • Current National Police Clearance.


  • Experience in managing agreement negotiation processes within a unionised workforce.
  • Prior experience working in Aged Care Setting.
