  • Are pets allowed?

    Except for guide dogs, the keeping of pets requires prior written consent.

  • Can I have family/friends come and stay with me?

    Visitors are allowed for up to 6 weeks in any year, with a maximum of 4 weeks at any time.
    You may have a live-in carer reside with you in your Unit to provide you with care services.

  • Can we make any modifications to the garden/landscaping?

    We encourage residents to maintain their own personal gardens

  • Do any doctors visit? When?

    We don’t currently have a regular visiting practitioner however your own GP is welcome to visit at any time.

  • Do I have to do my own cleaning, gardening and maintenance

    Maintenance of communal garden areas and facilities is provided as part of your service fee.  We also maintain your unit in terms of general, routine maintenance.  Cleaning is your own responsibility.

  • Do service fees include rates?

    Service fees cover both council and water rates.

  • Do we get our pensioner discounts on rates?

    Yes, if this detail has been provided to our Resident Services Manager.

  • How long is the waiting list?

    This is dependent on the type of unit that is required.  Our Resident Accommodation Co-ordinator can provide an estimated waiting list time upon application.

  • How much are the service fees?

    Fees are reviewed annually. Current fortnightly service fees for independent living units are $128.10 for a 1-bedroom unit, $135.10 for a 2-bedroom unit and $138.60 for a 3-bedroom unit.

  • If I get sick and require on-going care, do I have to leave?

    This is dependent on the level of care required. You may have a live-in carer reside with you in your Unit to provide you with care services.
    If we consider you are incapable of maintaining or adequately providing for your own safety, health and hygiene we may request you to undergo a medical examination. If this medical examination finds that you are no longer able to care for yourself we may ask you to surrender your lease/vacate your unit.
