Norm Smith, President

Norm Smith has a Bachelor in Social Work Degree and is a qualified Childcare group worker. Norm has been a board member since 1992 (with a break during 1994-1997). Norm is an active member of the Community. Norm had 13 years experience in Local Government as a Councillor and is a former Mayor of the City of Gosnells. He has been continuously employed by the Department of Corrective Services for the past 21 years and is currently the Director of Community and Juvenile Justice Special Projects. Norm Smith became Board President in late 2011.

Tony Italiano, President Elect

Tony is the principal licensee and owner of Market Realty, a real estate agency based in the Victoria Park CBD. Tony is an active Rotarian, being a member of the Maddington Club. Tony was the Convener of the Southern District’s Drug Action Group and has been a City of Gosnells Councillor. Tony has been a board member since December 2001 and became President Elect in late 2011.

Jan Ricks, Director

Jan is the principal licensee and co-owner with her husband of a real estate agency in Subiaco. She is qualified with a Bachelor of Business, majoring in accounting and finance. Jan is currently the treasurer of a registered charity for people with disabilities. Jan has been a board member since May 2005.

David Fleming, Director

David is an experienced legal practitioner and the principal of HFM Legal Barristers and Solicitors, holding an LLb (Hons) from University of Wales 1976.David is the president of the Maddington Rotary Club. David has been a board member since March 2008.

Anthony Taylor, Director

Dr Tony Taylor is an experienced medical specialist and is the Director of Surgical Services at the Armadale Health Campus. Tony is a Consultant Urologist and has previously held a number of significant positions associated with this specialist experience including the Chairman and Head of Urology Dept at Royal Perth Hospital. Tony has been a board member since October 2008.

Amelia Yam, Director

Amelia is a Chartered Accountant and currently CFO at Horizon Power with senior management experience accross a broad range of financial, accounting, commercial, business improvement,  project mangement, strategic and business planning. Amelia also has consulting experience in litigation support, company restructuring and forensic accounting whilst at Price Waterhouse Coopers. She joined Amaroo as a Board member in July 2010.

Steve Tilbrook, Director

Steve Tilbrook, FAICD, JP, has a long history as a grain farmer at Mt Madden and in recent years has been heavily involved with the Grains Industry, presently with five Local State and National Agricultural bodies.  The highlight of his Grain involvement was nine years as a director of the CBH Group. Steve has always been willing to contribute to the community and joined the Amaroo Village Board in September 2011.
